Today's communication requirements are increasingly complex. With the need for communications to remote locations, both inside and outside of structures, public safety and security, commercial wireless service providers and wireless users must have reliable coverage. This requires each communication system to sufficiently transmit reliable coverage for all users.

An efficient way to provide the level of signal required for each application, inside or outside, is the interior solution using Bi-Directional Amplifiers, commonly referred to as BDA's. Some applications require commercial building construction to include plans for radio coverage of public safety signals within the structure as a condition of occupancy.

The interior building systems are capable of boosting both the signal to be received by a wireless device as well as the transmit signal from that device. There are several ways to boost the signal. One way is to increase the signal level by adding additional antenna site within the coverage area and another way is to supplement the coverage in one structure with a permanent system that will boost the signal level received from and transmitted outside. In addition, by utilizing a deployable system, signal coverage can be increased in a building for a specific incident on a temporary basis. Each application has specific benefits and all bay be used together as yet another option.
